I was trying to find out where the Bilski's pending patent application was published, and I ended up writing to the new USPTO President and ex-IBM David Kappos. "While most of the media coverage was directed to the EP 1651777 B1 patent, FFII had attempted to jump on the bandwagon by joining the rally, pointing towards patents on CIIs or, vulgo software patents. To this end they had invited a well-known heavyweight, namely Mr Richard M. Stallman himself. The coverage of this part of the rally in the German mainstream media was minimal or even non-existent, as far as I can tell now. Obviously, fishing for votes appears to be much more promising when made on the basis of the issue of GM food than on some cumbersome topic like computer software."
